50 or less: Thanks for answering honestly. Now get yourself a shrink, quick! 51-70: When it comes to understanding human emotions, you'd have better luck understanding Chinese. 71-90: You've got more emotional intelligence than the average frat boy. Barely. 91-110: You're average. It's easy to predict how you'll react to things. But anyone could have guessed that. 111-130: You usually have it going on emotionally, but roadblocks tend to land you on your butt. 131-150: You are remarkable when it comes to relating with others. Only the biggest losers get under your skin. 150+: Two possibilities - you've either out "Dr. Phil-ed" Dr. Phil... or you're a dirty liar. |

Meeting New Friends
Today I met Sharyn from one of my online BIO groups. She was absolutely amazing and her ds Adam was so much fun. Chayleigh and him took a while to warm up to one another, but at the end we were able to convince them to hug! It was a great day. Sharyn I hope that we can manage to get together again. Maybe next time you come our way, we can hit Build a Bear. Bet the kids would love it!! And I def need to get to your neck of the woods. Maybe you can give us a tour. LOL!

Chayleigh Hip Update
We went to the Ortho yesterday and were told that her indexes are in the normal range. That is good news. The bad news is that her "bad" leg still isn't developing as well as he would like to see. He thinks that all will be fine, but won't make any promises. Says that it is all a waiting game until she is about 4. He was super happy that she is walking, running and jumping, which she made sure to show off for him. LOL! Thanks everyone who asked about it and sorry it took so long to update.

Dentist
Well our trip to the dentist today was NOT a good idea. She saw the hygentist and screamed. There went any chance of getting x-rays done. WTF would even think to do an x-ray on a 21 month old anyway? Then she brushes Chayleigh's teeth through the screaming. I am sincerely surprised that CPS doesn't just sit outside of that office and wait to arrest the horrible parents who force their kids to endure that torture. Then in comes the Dentist. He is a great guy. He made the mistake of TOUCHING Chayleigh though. They were doing so well and then the screaming began again. Ugh, I feel so bad for him having to deal with kids like that day in and day out.
Anyway, he did a quick exam and all is good. Told us that brushing once a day is great at this age. By the age of three we should bump it to twice a day. I think that we can manage that. He did say that we are doing great by flossing nightly though as well, so I guess that was good. The only good thing out of it is that we don't need to go back till January. LOL!

Sad Day
My Brother-in-law (Dax) is off today for his 6 weeks of training before being deployed to Iraq. It was a rough weekend for our family, especially my sister. He will be back for a few days in early September before heading over to Iraq for 12 months. We expect him back in the States sometime in October 2007.
Good news is that his job is to monitor activity. So he basically sits in front of a computer all day. So he won't actually be doing any fighting. So, chances are good that he will stay safe, but it is war and he will be in a pretty unstable area, so you never know. Therefore, if anyone has any extra prayers they can send out to keep him safe, they will be greatly accepted.

Chayleigh update
Okay, so this weekend DH freaked me out a bit because he weighed Chayleigh three times and all three times she was over 26lbs. Well this was concerning to me because at 18 months (3 months ago) she was only 22.8lbs, so I was thinking that she had packed on 4 lbs in three months. YIKES!
Anyway, so I took her to the Pedi's office for a weight check. She was 24.15 lbs, so a gain of about a pound and a half, (and about the 25th percentile) which they said was perfectly normal. Woohoo.

Updates
Sorry, should have done this last week. LOL.
Slide - MIL gave it to us. She bought it for the nephews when they were Chayleigh's age, so about 11 years ago. It is made by Step 2, but not sure if they make anything like that or not anymore.
Twins - both are doing excellent. They have both gained about a half a pound (this is as of last Monday) and have moved from Level 3 NICU to Level 1 NICU, which is excellent. They will stay in Level 1 NICU until they go home, hopefully sometime next month.
