Funny

So, Leslie wanted me to post this as well.

The new thing that Chayleigh has been doing is coming up to me with a farm animal book she has. It has a chicken, horse, dog, sheep and pig and their "hair" in them. She looks at me, says "baaaaa" and then opens up the book, searches for the sheep, says "baaaaa" again and then pulls off his fur and eats it.

See how smart she is?

Words - Chayleigh

Stolen from Leslie!

Since I am using this blog as somewhat of a journal, I thought I should document Chayleigh's words to date. I will also attempt their pronunciation, just because it's cute.

Mother (Ma, Mom or Maja - which she says EXACTLY like a teenager. TY DC.)
Daddy (Daddee)
Elmo (Elmo or Melmo)
Chayleigh (Baby)
please (peez)
No (NO, but doesn't say it often. Usually just shakes her head No.)
yellow (elloh)
hello (Hi)
ball (baaaalll)
bear (bear)
Bubble (Pretty)
Bye bye (byyyye bye)
mine (mine)
Grandma (ganma)
Grandpa (gapa)
Pretty (petty)
Bath (baaah)
Apple (appull)
up (up)
Yuck (yuck)
Baby (behbee)
Elbow (elbohhh)

She knows animals and can point to them and say what noise they make.

I know that there are more words she says, but can't think of them right now.

Outdoor Fun

I had DH put Chayleigh's trike together today. She received it for her birthday, but it hasn't been nice enough outside until yesterday.

I think that she liked pushing it better than riding it though!

She is also wearing shorts for the first time ever! Last summer she was in a brace, so she couldn't wear shorts. This year she is going to make up for lost time!

Spaghetti Incident

I finally gave in and fed Chayleigh spaghetti. After doing so, I realized why I had waited so long. Oh the mess. It took me 45 minutes to get the kitchen clean and the sauce off her highchair tray. Comet works wonders with tomato btw!

HS Reunion

My HS Reunion is this summer. For some reason I have absolutely NO desire to attend. Honestly, it seems really stupid. They are doing a BBQ during the day for families and then a cocktail party for us at night. I don't drink. Most of my class is/was Mormon, so they don't drink. Am I the only one who thinks that is stupid? Anyway, it is on a weekend where I already have plans, but I could make an effort to go if I wanted to. Ugh, I just don't know. I think that something that makes it more strange for me is that I still live and work in the same area, so I run into a lot of my classmates anyway. What would you do? Advice?

Life

Is funny. I was just minding my own business tonight when a blast from the past IM'd me. It was a guy I was "seeing" when I met Shawn. We met over the internet, but I just never felt "that way" about him. He never did take the hint. LOL! Anyway, just found out that he had a baby in January (or rather became a father) and it didn't change him at all. I look at myself and Shawn and I think about how different we are now that Chayleigh rules our lives. Just strange how somethings never change, yet sometimes they do. LOL!

Better than I thought :)

They both abstain from drinking, so that helps compatibility. The fact that the two hold different political beliefs may be a sore spot. Furthermore, their astrological signs are not in harmony. Their common love of animals is good thing. And their views on children are similar. Overall, Shawnie and Shawn are highly compatible. They are capable of having a beautiful relationship together. ♥

    Diaper Rash Update

    Not Yeast! Ha Jen! LOL!

She said that it is butt burn. In otherwords, think about when you have the runs really bad and your ass burns. That is what it is. Then add a diaper to cover it and squish it around and you get butt burn. She gave us a new cream to use and said it should all be cleared up in a few days. Said that eating Caesar Salad is a-okay with her (and she also didn't know that they put anchovies in the dressing), and to just stay away from citrus for a few days.

    Grandpa News

My grandpa hasn't been feeling well for a while now and Grandma finally talked him into a checkup. Found out that his heart is only beating about 20 beats a minute. Definitely not good, but at least it explains why he never feels like doing anything with anyone. So, they are going to have him get a pacemaker in May sometime. I really hate that life does shit like this. It is just so convenient to think about him being the same age as he was when I was a kid. Hard to accept that he might not be around forever. I sure hope and pray that the pacemaker does well though and that he has a lot of good quality life left. Afterall, he is only 78!

    Spending Money

Well the Pedi doesn't think her diaper rash is anything serious. She told us to keep putting on the the prescription diaper cream and to use Mylanta to help take away the pain of the burn. So, I went to Wal-Mart tonight and got some. Then of course I had to finish my impulse shopping. $50 later I finally left, but with the new Winnie the Pooh DVD. Sometimes I detest going to that store. LOL!

Oh and I forgot to pay my credit card, which was due today. So I called up Citi to BEG them to waive the late fee, and they informed me that it automatically gives me 5 extra days to make the payment if I call on or before the due date! How freaking awesome is that?!?! I knew that there was a reason to love Citi and my UPROMISE card!

    Dinner

We tried this for dinner tonight. I really liked it. Not the best thing I have ever had, but for only taking about 10 minutes to prepare, it was tasty. Also found out that Chayleigh is DEFINITELY her father's daughter because she would spit out the broccoli that she happened to eat. LOL!

    Front Facing

We turned Chayleigh around this weekend and WOW does it make a difference. She is like a totally different kid! LOL!

    Work

Sucks this week. On Monday, I went to work and my computer wouldn't "wake" up, so I hard booted it off and then it told me that it had a disk error. Turns out that somehow my hard drive erased itself. Oh fun. Then came the "extra loaner" computers. They are all dinosaurs and total pita's. Hopefully we will have a new one for me in a few weeks. UGH. The worst part is just getting used to new things and then having them be temporary to boot.

Then today, my mouse died. Yes, my COMPUTER mouse Kristie. LOL! It was my own personal mouse, so it was a double whammy. So, now I have a loaner wireless mouse and keyboard until I can get new ones as well.

I am kind of afraid of what tomorrow brings. LOL!

    Easter Pictures

FINALLY got them back from Target yesterday. I hate that it took almost three weeks to get them back. What a waste of time. Oh well. At least I have them now.

    Something new

Learned something new today. I learned that Caesar Salad Dressing is made with anchovies. WTF?!?! Why don't they HAVE to disclose that NASTY fact in BIG BOLD LETTERS on the front of the packaging? Ick. I will NEVER look at it the same way again.

This all started because Chayleigh has developed a taste for Caesar Salad from Wendy's. I gave her some and then she started getting diaper rash and massive icky diapers. I felt so bad, so I started talking to my friend Barb, who asked if it could be the anchovies?!?! Oh crap. Then lead to the internet searches and yep, she was right. LOL! Anyway, since this is "general" knowledge, I thought I would get it out there. Maybe they just don't tell us that in Idaho cause my Mom didn't know either. LOL!

    Happy Birthday

To my DH! He is 33 today and he says that he feels it. I love you and I hope that we get to celebrate more this coming weekend!

He had to go to Jury duty today to finish up the court case he was chosen for yesterday. Good news is that now he is done!

Bad news is that now cause I am sick, we don't get to do anything fun. LOL!

    Sick

Sick again. Geez, seems like I just posted this. LOL!

Hoping that it goes quickly this time. I am doped up on Tylenol cold, so hopefully it does the job.

    Eating

We started Chayleigh on silverware this weekend and she is doing GREAT with it. The other day I got her to eat some pot roast, including potatoes (which she hates) and the carrots. She even ate the meat (which she also hates) as long as she could "stab" it first. DH was so impressed, he got some pictures of her eating (which I forgot to do).

    Chayleigh's New Bedding

We finally got her bedding put on her bed last night. She loved it so much that she wanted put in her crib to try it out. Then we couldn't get her to come back out. She did sleep well last night, so I guess it is a good thing.

    Chayleigh and her Great Grandparents

Oh what a difference a year makes. This is Easter Weekend last year and then the last weekend in March this year.
