Funny

So, when I changed my blog I didn't have the smarts to save everything first, so I lost all of my links. Luckily Leslie was awesome enough to share hers with me. Only problem is that it didn't include hers. So, TODAY I finally figured out that I wasn't linking her. Bwahaha. Anyway, got that fixed now! Sorry you weren't included for a week or so Sweetie.

May 27, 2001

5 years ago, Shawn and I were married. It was a gorgeous Spring day and one that I will always remember. I just wanted to wish my DH a happy 5 year anniversary and let him know that I hope that we last for 50 more. I love you honey!!

Thanks Allison

Thanks Allison for the new blog look! I love it!

Fill in the blanks

Fill in the blanks

Because Leslie Tagged me.

I AM: bored. I have nothing to do at work this week.

I WANT: Chayleigh to grow up and never want for anything.

I WISH: I could afford a bigger house in a different area of the valley.

I HATE: that my two internet buddies are going to meet up in the next few months without me.

I MISS: my friend Lisa. We were best friends growing up, but I moved away and we lost touch.

I FEAR: losing my grandparents. They are really like a second set of parents to me. They basically raised my sister and me until I was 12.

I HEAR: the air conditioner turning on. I wonder why it is doing that since it is only going to be 63 today.

I WONDER: if Shawn and I will have another baby or if Chayleigh will be an only child.

I REGRET: getting Student loans rather than just paying for college when I had the chance.

I AM NOT: liking this weather. It is Memorial Day Weekend and it is raining. That sucks.

I DANCE: nekkid in the rain. Okay, well Shawn wishes I did.

I SING: in the car and people look at me like I am a dork.

I CRY: not often in real life. But I cry at books, movies or B's blog :).

I AM NOT ALWAYS: very smart. I do a lot of stupid things and it makes people wonder how my IQ is as high as it is.

I MAKE WITH MY HANDS: homemade Mac and Cheese. Had it for dinner last night and it was sure yummy.

I WRITE: lots of emails to my friends and family. I also write to express my feelings.

I CONFUSE: my DH because I change topics rapidly when I am tired.

I NEED: to get two diaper cakes finished for a family member having twins.

I SHOULD: Get our spare bedroom cleaned out so that my dad can come and stay with us.

I START: my day by waking up and leaving the house. I sign into AIM and talk with my internet buddies, and I wait until 9am, when Shawn calls and I talk to Chayleigh on the phone.

I FINISH: my day by spending lots of time with Chayleigh. She eats dinner, takes a bath, and we read a book and snuggle. Then I fall asleep listening to her play with her Winnie the Pooh in her crib before she falls asleep as well.

    Frustrated

I am so freaking frustrated with the neighborhood kids right now. We live in a subdivision and we are the only house on a straightaway between two huge cul-de-sacs. For some reason, that makes all of the kids between the ages of 6 and 16 want to play kickball, baseball, soccer, etc in front of our house. They are constantly running through our yard with their bikes or just on foot, they play tag and crap in there too. They rip up our bushes and our grass and they bounce their damn balls off our garage and now our roof. We have tried talking to them and their parents, but no one seems to care. Tonight I got fed up with it and after they purposely hit their basketball into my window and my roof, for the 6th time, which is how I know it was purposely, I went out and took the damn ball. I took it outside to the back yard and then threw it over the fence into the back yard of the neighbor boy who is the instigator of it all. Of course they all went and told their parents that I took their ball for no reason and they sent two of the dads over to “threaten” me into giving it back. I finally told the last dad that I threw it back into the yard of the owner and if he would EVER go in there, he would have known it. I am tired of them ALWAYS hitting my house and their parents not caring. Any suggestions? I want to move, but I can’t afford it. Even if we could, I think that it is crap that I have to move rather than have them learn respect and stay off my property. Am I wrong to feel this way? What would you do? This is pretty much an every day occurrence and it goes on until about 10pm every night. The parents have no regard for their kids and it is driving me nuts. They are always waking Chayleigh up by hitting the ball into the house by her window. Is it right for us to have to deal with this? I just don’t know what else to do!! Please tell me what you would do!!

    Yard Sale Success

My mom and I went yard saling on Saturday and I scored pretty good I think.

I got things similar to these for Chayleigh for only $70 total! I thought I did good. There are a few other things I am still looking for, so we are going out the weekend after Memorial Day to check out a few other good sales.

    Friday, May 19, 2006

It seems like lately that is all I am saying to Chayleigh anymore. She is constantly trying her boundaries with both DH and I. I hate the terrible 2's already and from what I have heard, we still have a long way to go.

    Sears Sucks

DH ordered a tool box from them that was only available online. He wanted the center part to his three part tool chest. It was something that he wanted, just cause. Anyway, he ordered it around the 1st of April and was told that it would be to us in about 10 days. He received a confirmation from UPS that the order had been placed. The UPS site NEVER got a tracking number update, so DH called Sears to see what was going on. After talking to three people, he FINALLY got to talk to someone who knew. They didn’t send it out UPS, they sent it out via a freight truck. They were shipping four tool chests to our area and they would be delivered by Courier once they got in and it would be about 2 more weeks. Okay, no biggie. Bit disappointed, but hey, you get what you pay for.

So the chest was FINALLY delivered last Tuesday. It is damaged. The Courier happened to be a friend of DH’s and picked the least damaged one, but it was still damaged. He recommended that DH send it back and get a new one, which DH did. So he called Sears and told them that it was unacceptable and he wanted a new one sent out UPS. He was told no problem and it would be there in 4-6 days. Again he got the UPS confirmation and NO tracking number. Yesterday was 5 days and he called Sears again to be told that ONCE AGAIN they sent it via the freight truck. So, now DH is super pissed and cancelled the tool chest. Then went one step further and returned the pressure washer and other tools that we bought on Sunday. For a total of $1000 returned to Sears because they are dumbasses. Now as a result, he will never again spend any money there.

I feel so bad for him because he really wanted that tool chest. I just don’t understand why they would do something like that. They offered him $20 back as an apology, but that isn’t worth the hassle or the wait, not to mention that it will most likely be damaged again and we have to do this all over. I told DH to contact Corporate, but he doesn’t see the point. They don’t seem to care about the customers they have. I feel bad for him, but I honestly have to agree. Long story short, buyer beware!

    Chayleigh's Grandpa C.

In 1969, Grandpa went away to Korea. These are some pictures taken of him before he deployed. The reason for the photo shoot was to get the pictures of him this year since he left the military. He served for 37 years.

Isn't he handsome? To me, he looks just like my DH. LOL!

    Chayleigh and her Grandparents

These are some other pictures taken yesterday. Grandma and Grandpa wanted some taken with Chayleigh.

    Father's Day gift 2006

We wanted to get Chayleigh's picture taken in her Red Sox outfit for my stepdad for Father's Day. This is what we ended up with.
